Yesterday was the first game of the Detroit Tigers Season Home-opener! The people of Detroit love the Detroit Tigers and treat opening day like an actual holiday. Yesterday was especially nice for the fans because the sun was shining, the weather was beautiful, and most of all, the Tigers won the game against Kansas City. Here is a photo of the front entrance to Comerica Park where the Tigers play all of their home games.
This next photo is a view of the Detroit skyline from the Detroit River. I made this photo a monochrome because I think it added a good symmetry to the GM Headquarters building which is chrome and mirrors. Hope you enjoy!
An amateur photographer who loves taking photos! I love learning each new thing I can about photography. Always looking for that perfect photo! I really like taking landscape, nature, and flower photos, but try to never miss the opportunity to use my camera whenever I can.

Spring Dreaming!
Driving on the roads yesterday, I was wishing that I was that person who loves winter. Sadly, I am not that person. I miss the sun, the warmth, and the magic of new life growing from the ground that Spring brings. So, while I play dodge the potholes with my car, look at the now dirty black snow, and the clouds in the sky, I will keep counting the days until Spring. :)

Here to Stay
I chose this photo today because it has memories for me. It looks like Spring is moving along slowly here in Michigan, and with that I found my first sprout of my Red Lily plants that sit right outside my front door next to my front porch. The bud shown here is about the size of a nickel right now, but when in full bloom, will be about 2-3 ft tall. I bought these lily plants about 12 years ago, after I bought my very first house myself. I was proud of the fact that I was able to purchase my own house, being a single Mom with two kids. A few years later, my life changed and I ended up moving 3 times in 10 years. Each time I had to move to a different home, I dug up my lily plants and took them with me. My 3rd and hopefully final move was 2 1/2 years ago, and I still have my Red Lily plants. Not sure why they mean so much to me, but they do, and since we do not intend to move again, if ever, I called these plants "Here to Stay". As they grow, I hope to have some more photos so you can see how beautiful these plants are in full bloom. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking! :)

Abstract Blossom Tree
I can't believe one year ago, it was 82 degrees outside and today it is just 18 degrees! Here is an abstract that I made of a photo of a blossom tree. Have to find something to do when it's so cold outside. This is one of about a dozen different flower abstracts that I made. Until the weather gets a little warmer, I am utilizing a little of my creative side. Hope you like it!

Michigan Weather in Days!
Well, I was really hoping Spring was just around the corner as I saw this beautiful tree while driving down the road early on a foggy morning a week ago. I took the picture as a passenger in the car going 60 mph and was unable to get a really clear shot of this tree. It looked so beautiful and serene just sitting there in a mist of fog.
A few days later, it was raining and all of the snow was gone! Getting really happy now, as it really looks like Spring is in the air! There was even a rainbow after this rain, but I could only capture a photo from my front porch.
Two days after what I thought was Spring rain, I woke up to two inches of snow. I tell ya, Michigan is so fickle with it's weather. So again, I will wait for the real Spring, to go out and smell the air, soak up the sun, and get out there with my camera!
